I got the outer fabric from MaLora Ann and I knew right away I needed it to be a wristlet. But since it’s For You February, I made one for someone else. There’s still enough for a wristie for me. But that will have to wait.
Isn’t she a cutie?
Knowing that this friend is a pattern lover, I packed the wristie in an old Simplicity envelope.
You think she’ll like it? Do you like the pattern envelope “wrapping”? I also like using tissue pattern paper and I sometimes use pieces of delicious fabric, too. It allows my sewing geek and my green inclinations to play together. What do you use for wrapping?

Boy, you are a good stitcher. Those look totally professional, except they are way cuter and more creative.
Thank you for saying this.
LOVE that fabric! All your wristlets are making me want to make myself one – just don’t know where I would carry it since I always have my purse.
That’s a really fun idea to use the old pattern envelope as wrapping. I often wrap gifts I give in unusual ways too. And occasionally, I’ve used fabric instead of paper.
Probably the funniest wrapping (that my family still talks about) was a new floor lamp for my parents. Instead of wrapping the box, I unpacked and assembled the lamp (needed to make sure it worked!) and then just wrapped it all over with paper. It looked like something from a cartoon & there was no surprise in what it was – just surprise about the color of the lamp when the paper was removed, hehe.
I actually put my wristlet in my purse. Only sometimes do I use the wristlet alone.
Hilarious lamp wrapping. Lol
Totally loving the wristlette. I think this one and it’s pattern envelope wraping might be my favorite. I was recently looking for a little bag to hold my keys and this would be perfect. g
I’m glad you like it. I love this one so much.
This wristlet is so wonderful! I love the fabrics. The pattern envelope is a great wrap idea.
Oh my gosh, so freaking adorable!
I’m there with you. It’s such awesome fabric.
It’s adorable! And I love creative packaging. I never thought of a vintage pattern envelope – what a terrific idea!
