Me-Made-May and my Mini Mission Maxi

That was a LOT of M’s! It must be May!

You may remember the “not a Mission Maxi” I made several months ago…I love this pattern. It’s quick and easy to fit! For this second version, I did take it in around the hips because my first one, while a great fit, is a little baggy there- nothing I’ve changed until now. In the strictest sense, this isn’t totally mini but it sure does feel short. When I went to cut this Mission Maxi (yeah, not maxi at all!!!) I thought I cut it too short but as it turns out, with a serged and turned up 3/4″ hem, it turned out just fine.

As far as my Me-Made-May pledge… I, Leila of, sign up as a participant of Me Made May 2014. I endeavor to wear a me-made garment at least 5 days a week.  I don’t have a ton of me-made clothes so I’ll be supplementing what I already have with WIPs. I’m also including panties but I won’t be forcing myself to wear them all 5 days. I’ll do what I can. This is supposed to be fun! So, let’s have at it! Click on the banner below to learn more about Me-Made-May! Again, it’s meant to be a fun way to connect with others online who like to make. It’s not meant to be stressful so we’re entering stress-free! Have a great May!

Leila, you look fabulous in your mini! I like your MMM pledge if five days a week. I was pondering whether to participate and five days a week is more realistic for me as well. You are so right about making it fun not stressful! So thanks for this post – maybe I’ll participate after all. I’m wearing a skirt I made today. 🙂
